LAHORE: The highly anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 draft is set to take place in Pakistan, with sources indicating that Karachi or Lahore will serve as the host city. The draft, scheduled for January 11, marks the beginning of preparations for the landmark 10th edition of the tournament.
Amid speculations about hosting the draft abroad, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to keep the event on home soil, stating that now is not the right time to explore international venues. This decision aligns with the PCB’s commitment to showcasing the league’s roots in Pakistan and engaging local cricket enthusiasts.
All PSL 10 Matches to Be Held in Pakistan
In addition to hosting the draft locally, it has been confirmed that all matches of the PSL 10 season will be played in Pakistan. Earlier discussions regarding staging a few games overseas were dismissed in favour of fully hosting the tournament domestically, further boosting local fan engagement and tourism.
Overseas Player Registration and Trade Window Open
The PCB officially opened the registration window for overseas players on Thursday, inviting international cricketers to participate in the milestone edition of the PSL. The player category renewals are set to be announced on Tuesday, followed by the relegation process and player retention activities later this month.
